Educationally Related Mental Health Assessment (ERMHS)

Since the elimination of Assembly Bill 3632, school districts must ensure that a student is participating in all services necessary to ensure that they are appropriately accessing the curriculum; this includes additional counseling services referred to as Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS). Prior to the implementation of these services a comprehensive assessment of the social emotional status of the student, and recommendations based on the student’s needs must be conducted to inform the IEP team that will determine the level of service. Spectrum Assessment Services is well equipped to conduct such assessments in a timely and professional manner. Our staff has specific expertise in this area and districts and families would be served well by our efforts.
